What a visit records

When you open omniatech.ai, the page sends a short record of the visit to Sentigen, software built and run by Braintied, who build and host this site for Omnia Tech. It holds:

• A random idA string of characters kept in your browser so a second visit can be told from a first. It is not a cookie, it is not shared with any other site, and it is attached to no name. Clearing your browser data ends it.
• Your addressThe IP address your browser arrives from, and an approximate location worked out from it: town, region, country, postal area and rough coordinates. This comes from the address, never from your device's location.
• Your browserWhether you are on a phone or a computer, which browser and operating system, and the user agent your browser announces.
• Where you came fromThe site that linked you, if your browser sends one, any campaign tags on the address, and the code on a link we made for one person or place.
• What you readWhich parts of the page you reached, how far you scrolled, how long the page was actually in front of you, and any outbound link you pressed.

Most links arrive from a message or a mail app, and those send nothing about where they came from. That is why a named link exists: it says which post or message brought you, and nothing about you.

What it does not do

• No cookies, and no tracking across other websites.
• No advertising network and no data broker. The reading above goes to Omnia Tech's own software and stays there.
• Nothing is sold, rented or traded.
• No attempt to work out who you are. No visit on this site has ever carried a name or an email address unless someone typed one into the contact form or the newsletter sign-up.
• If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, the page records nothing at all.

The contact form

What you type is what is sent: your name, your email address, your company if you give one, and your message. It goes by email to Tucker Hamilton, with Omnia Tech's operations address copied, and your address is set as the reply, so an answer comes straight back to you.

That email also carries a short line about the visit it came from, drawn from the record above: the town, whether it was a first or a later visit, how long the page was open, the device, which parts were read, and the site that linked you. It carries no browsing from anywhere else.

An enquiry is not stored in a database. The record of it is the email in the recipients' inboxes and the delivery log of the service that carried it.

The newsletter

Signing up for Tucker’s newsletter keeps your email address on a list held in Sentigen, with the time you signed up, which of the two sign-up boxes you used, and the random id described above if your browser has one. Nothing is sent to you when you sign up.

The list is used only to send that newsletter. It is not sold, rented, traded or added to any other list. To come off it, use the contact form and ask; your address is then marked as removed, or deleted if you ask for that.

Who else handles it

• CloudflareServes the site and sees the requests, as any host does. Cloudflare also runs its own page speed measurement on every page here, which loads one small script from cloudflareinsights.com and reports how quickly the page arrived. It sets no cookie and does not identify you.
• BraintiedBuilds and runs the site and its analytics for Omnia Tech, on databases held with Supabase.
• ResendCarries the enquiry email.

Nobody else is given the record. It may be disclosed if the law requires it.

How long it is kept

IP addresses are deleted after ninety days by a job that runs every morning. The rest of the visit record is kept while it is useful for understanding who reads the site, and may be removed sooner on request.

Asking what is held, or having it removed

Use the contact form and say it is a privacy request. It reaches Omnia Tech's operations address. Say roughly when you visited and from where, and you can have a copy of what is held about those visits, a correction, or its deletion. There is no charge and no account to create.

You can also stop the recording yourself at any time: turn on Do Not Track in your browser, or block scripts from this site. The page reads and works either way.

Changes

If this changes, the date at the top changes with it.
